The Moment That Changed Everything

One story changed everything for me. My ex-colleague, a fellow corporate warrior and proud pawrent, quit her job to spend more time with her 6-year-old dog. She said the fast pace of our careers had stolen too many moments, and she wanted to make up for it.

It was a brave choice. But life had other plans.

One day, she came home to find her beloved dog lying motionless. Internal haemorrhage. Late-stage cancer. In just days, everything she thought she had time for... disappeared.

She didn’t have pet insurance. She used her life savings to try and save him. Two months later, he passed.
