PawketPlace Pte. Ltd. (“PawketPlace”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore (“PDPA”).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, protect, and retain personal data when you access or use our website, mobile application, services, booking tools, pet-care features, vendor services, community features, events, promotions, or any other PawketPlace platform, product, or service collectively referred to as the “Platform”.

By accessing or using the Platform, creating an account, submitting information, making a booking, uploading content, communicating with us, or otherwise using our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

 

1. Personal Data We Collect

We may collect personal data about you, your account, your pet(s), and your use of the Platform.

This may include:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Account login and profile details
  • Subscription and billing-related information
  • Payment method information processed by our payment processors
  • Pet profile information, including name, species, breed, age, weight, personality, lifestyle, routines, health notes, care needs, behavioural notes, and other pet-related details
  • Behavioural diary entries, care logs, task logs, expense records, uploaded receipts, health records, documents, files, images, or notes
  • Appointment, booking, service request, vendor enquiry, cancellation, rescheduling, refund, or support details
  • Messages, feedback, survey responses, reviews, support enquiries, and other communications with us
  • Event, community, Pawket Club, promotion, campaign, or partnership participation details

You are responsible for ensuring that any information you provide is accurate, lawful, and submitted with the necessary consent.

 

1.2 Automatically collected (via mobile app & website)

  • Device information, including device ID, operating system, model, app version, and browser type
  • App usage data
  • IP address
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies
  • In-app interaction events, such as screens viewed, buttons clicked, and feature usage
  • Crash logs, diagnostics, and performance data
  • Cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar tracking technologies
  • Push notification tokens
  • Language, region, and general location settings

 

1.3 Data collected through permissions

Depending on how you use the app, we may request access to:

  • Camera (for uploading pet photos, documents, receipts)
  • Photo library
  • Files storage
  • Push notifications (health reminders, task alerts, behavioural diary prompts)
  • General location, where relevant to nearby services, listings, or location-based features

You may disable permissions through your device settings. However, some features may not function properly if permissions are disabled.

 

1.4 Third-party data sources

We may receive information from:

  • Payment processors, such as Stripe, Apple, Google, or other payment partners
  • App store platforms
  • Analytics, crash reporting, and product performance tools
  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers
  • Vendors, service providers, groomers, trainers, vet clinics, sitters, wellness providers, or other partners you interact with through PawketPlace
  • Marketing, communication, email, SMS, push notification, or customer support tools
  • Referral partners, campaign partners, event partners, or Pawket Club partners

 

2. How We Use Your Data (Purpose Limitation under PDPA)

We collect, use, and disclose personal data only for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances, and where required, for purposes that you have been notified of or consented to.

We may use personal data to:

  • Create, verify, manage, and secure your PawketPlace account
  • Provide access to the Platform and its features
  • Create and manage pet profiles
  • Provide health reminders, care reminders, behavioural diary prompts, task alerts, appointment reminders, and other service-related notifications
  • Facilitate bookings, enquiries, confirmations, cancellations, rescheduling, payments, refunds, chargebacks, vendor payouts, customer support, and service follow-ups
  • Provide personalised pet-care tools, routines, recommendations, insights, monthly summaries, behavioural observations, expense tracking, and care guidance
  • Power, test, validate, improve, audit, and monitor PawketPlace’s rule-based systems, recommendation engines, AI-generated summaries, behavioural insights, risk alerts, care logic, and product features
  • Improve Platform functionality, safety, usability, reliability, and performance
  • Conduct analytics, product development, business planning, internal reporting, and service improvement
  • Manage subscriptions, billing cycles, trial access, entitlements, and payment-related records
  • Provide customer service, technical support, and dispute resolution
  • Send service-related communications
  • Send marketing communications, promotions, partner offers, Pawket Club updates, campaign updates, or sponsored content where permitted by law or with the necessary consent
  • Prevent fraud, misuse, abuse, unauthorised access, security incidents, or breaches of our terms
  • Enforce our agreements, policies, vendor terms, user terms, and legal rights
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, audit, investigation, dispute, insurance, or corporate obligations

PawketPlace does not sell or rent your personal data.

 

3. Service Communications and Marketing Communications

We may send you service-related communications that are necessary for the operation of the Platform. These may include account alerts, booking confirmations, payment updates, appointment reminders, care reminders, health reminders, task alerts, safety notices, subscription notices, support updates, or important policy changes.

Service-related communications are not treated as marketing messages.

We may also send marketing communications, including promotions, discounts, partner offers, Pawket Club updates, campaigns, event invitations, sponsored content, or product announcements, where we have obtained the necessary consent or where permitted under applicable law.

You may opt out of marketing communications at any time. However, you may continue to receive service-related communications required for the proper operation of your account or use of the Platform.

Phone numbers will not be used for marketing purposes without the necessary consent.

 

4. Pet Data, Behavioural Insights, and AI-Generated Features

PawketPlace uses pet profile information, behavioural diary entries, care logs, expense records, routines, reminders, health notes, uploaded documents, and related pet-care data to provide personalised tools and insights.

This may include:

  • Generating personalised care tasks
  • Detecting care, routine, spending, or behavioural patterns
  • Providing early-risk indicators or prompts
  • Creating AI-generated summaries or monthly reports
  • Recommending daily, weekly, monthly, age-based, or life-stage-based routines
  • Suggesting relevant services, bookings, products, educational content, or care actions
  • Improving PawketPlace’s algorithms, recommendation systems, behavioural logic, and user experience

Where reasonably practicable, we may use aggregated, anonymised, or de-identified information for analytics, research, product development, model improvement, safety testing, and business planning.

All PawketPlace insights, behavioural prompts, AI-generated content, risk alerts, and recommendations are informational only. They are not medical diagnosis, veterinary advice, treatment advice, or a substitute for consultation with a licensed veterinarian or certified animal behaviour professional.

 

5. Disclosure of Personal Data

We may disclose personal data where necessary to provide, manage, improve, protect, or operate the Platform.

This may include disclosure to:

  • Payment processors, including Stripe, Apple, Google, or other payment partners
  • Cloud hosting, storage, database, infrastructure, and security providers
  • Analytics, crash reporting, product monitoring, and performance tools
  • Email, SMS, push notification, messaging, customer support, and communication providers
  • Vendors, service providers, groomers, trainers, vet clinics, sitters, wellness providers, event partners, Pawket Club partners, or other third parties you engage with through the Platform
  • Professional advisers, including lawyers, accountants, auditors, insurers, consultants, and corporate advisers
  • Regulators, government authorities, law enforcement agencies, courts, tribunals, or other parties where required or permitted by law
  • Acquirers, investors, financiers, buyers, successors, or advisers in connection with any actual or proposed merger, acquisition, financing, investment, restructuring, sale of assets, business transfer, insolvency process, or similar corporate transaction

We require third-party service providers to protect personal data in accordance with applicable data protection standards and to use personal data only for authorised purposes.

 

6. Vendor, Booking, and Service Provider Sharing

Where you make a booking, enquiry, purchase, service request, event registration, Pawket Club redemption, or other transaction through PawketPlace, you consent to PawketPlace disclosing relevant account, contact, pet profile, booking, care, health, behavioural, uploaded document, payment-status, refund-status, and communication information to the applicable vendor, service provider, partner, clinic, trainer, groomer, sitter, or other third party as reasonably necessary to facilitate, manage, confirm, perform, support, or follow up on the requested service.

Vendors and third-party service providers may have their own privacy practices. Where you engage directly with a vendor or third party outside the Platform, their handling of your personal data may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

PawketPlace is not responsible for any independent collection, use, disclosure, or processing of personal data by vendors or third parties outside the Platform.

 

7. Co-Parent, Caregiver, Family, Helper, or Shared Access

The Platform may allow you to invite or authorise other persons to access your account, pet profile, pet-care information, reminders, records, bookings, or related features.

This may include family members, co-parents, helpers, sitters, caregivers, or other authorised users.

If you invite or authorise another person to access your account or pet profile, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to share the relevant personal data and pet information with that person.

PawketPlace is not responsible for any access, use, disclosure, loss, misuse, or further sharing of information by persons whom you invite, authorise, or permit to access your account, pet profile, or related information.

 

8. User Responsibility for Uploaded Data

You are responsible for ensuring that any personal data, images, documents, receipts, invoices, pet records, veterinary records, medical notes, third-party information, helper information, caregiver information, or other materials you upload to the Platform are accurate, lawful, and shared with the necessary consent.

You must not upload personal data of another individual unless you have obtained the required consent or have another lawful basis to do so.

PawketPlace may remove, restrict, or refuse to process uploaded content where we reasonably believe it may breach applicable laws, third-party rights, our terms, or this Privacy Policy.

 

9. Payments and Transaction Data

Payments made through the Platform may be processed by third-party payment processors, including Stripe, Apple, Google, or other payment partners.

PawketPlace does not store full credit or debit card numbers.

Payment information is processed in accordance with the applicable payment processor’s terms and privacy policy.

PawketPlace may receive and process limited transaction-related information, including payment status, transaction ID, subscription status, trial status, billing status, refund status, dispute status, chargeback status, payout status, vendor settlement details, and payment-related records.

We may use this information to manage bookings, subscriptions, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, vendor payouts, accounting, reconciliation, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

 

10. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you logged in
  • Remember your preferences
  • Understand website and app usage
  • Improve Platform performance
  • Personalise content and features
  • Measure campaign effectiveness
  • Improve product design and user experience

You may disable cookies through your browser settings. However, some features may not function properly if cookies or similar technologies are disabled.

 

11. Cross-Border Data Transfers

We may store, process, access, or transfer personal data outside Singapore, including through cloud hosting, infrastructure, analytics, payment, support, communication, development, or operational service providers.

Where personal data is transferred outside Singapore, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that the transferred personal data is protected to a standard comparable to the protection required under the PDPA, including through legally enforceable obligations, contractual protections, or other safeguards where appropriate.

By using the Platform, you acknowledge that your personal data may be processed, stored, accessed, or transferred outside Singapore for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

 

12. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, provide the Platform, maintain account continuity, support bookings and subscriptions, resolve disputes, comply with legal, tax, accounting, regulatory, audit, fraud prevention, insurance, and operational requirements, and enforce our agreements.

When personal data is no longer required for legal, business, operational, or service purposes, we will take reasonable steps to delete, anonymise, or securely dispose of it.

You may request deletion of your personal data. However, we may retain certain information where required or permitted by law, or where necessary for legitimate business, legal, dispute, compliance, fraud prevention, accounting, or enforcement purposes.

 

13. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal data in our possession or control.

These safeguards may include:

  • Encryption in transit and/or at rest
  • Access controls and authentication
  • Secure cloud storage
  • Internal access restrictions
  • Monitoring for unusual activity
  • Security reviews
  • Vendor and service provider controls
  • Staff, contractor, or service provider confidentiality obligations where appropriate

No method of transmission, storage, or electronic processing is completely secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect personal data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

 

14. Data Incidents and Breach Notification

In the event of a data incident or suspected data breach, PawketPlace will take reasonable steps to assess, contain, investigate, remediate, and document the incident. Where required under applicable data protection laws, PawketPlace will notify affected individuals, the Personal Data Protection Commission, and/or other relevant authorities.

 

15. Your Rights Under the PDPA

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of errors or omissions in your personal data
  • Withdraw consent to the collection, use, or disclosure of your personal data
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Request information about how your personal data has been used or disclosed
  • Request data portability, where applicable and when implemented

If you withdraw consent or request deletion, we may be unable to provide certain features or services to you.

We may also retain information where required or permitted by law, or where necessary for legal, compliance, business, dispute, accounting, fraud prevention, or enforcement purposes.

 

16. Children and Minors

The Platform is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years old without parental or guardian consent. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors without appropriate authorisation. If we become aware that personal data has been collected from a minor without proper consent, we may take steps to delete or restrict the relevant information. Parents or guardians may contact us if they believe a minor has provided personal data without proper authorisation.

 

17. Third-Party Links and Services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, services, products, payment platforms, vendor pages, promotions, or content. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security, content, products, services, or policies of third parties. You should review the relevant third party’s privacy policy and terms before providing personal data or engaging with them.

 

18. Business Transfers and Corporate Transactions

We may disclose, transfer, or allow access to personal data in connection with any actual or proposed investment, financing, merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, business transfer, joint venture, due diligence exercise, insolvency process, or similar corporate transaction. Where reasonably practicable, we will require recipients to handle personal data in accordance with confidentiality and data protection obligations.

 

19. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our Platform, services, business operations, legal requirements, or data protection practices. Where changes are material, we may notify you through email, in-app notice, website notice, or other appropriate means. Your continued use of the Platform after the updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means that you acknowledge the updated Privacy Policy.
